In this ever increasing technological world, it is very important to keep children safe online. At City of Rochester School we promote the use of the Internet and technology both at school and at home as we feel that it is an invaluable tool for teaching and learning and is an amazing resource.
National Online Safety Certified School
Although the Internet has many advantages it is important for us to take Internet Safety very seriously.
The curriculum offers a range of opportunities for children to talk about online safety and current issues that are affecting them in the online world. Online safety is delivered as part of PSHE and Computing lessons.
The school has also received a National Online Safety Certified School Accreditation for its whole school community approach to protecting children in the online world.
National Online Safety is a multi-award winning digital training provider with extensive resources in online safety, developed in line with the Department of Education’s statutory requirements.
Its CPD accredited courses and educational resources support UK schools in educating the whole school community in online safety– including all school staff, senior leaders, teachers and parents – on how to make the internet a safer place for children.
