Supporting Wisteria Cat Rescue: Our School Charity Partnership
At our school, we are proud to continue our partnership with Wisteria Cat Rescue, a dedicated local charity that works tirelessly to rescue and rehome cats in our community. Their work ensures that vulnerable animals receive the care, medical attention, and love they need to find their forever homes.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Billy from Wisteria, who recently made a very generous donation to our School Council. This kind gesture highlights the strong bond between our school and the rescue, and we are eager to return that support through our upcoming fundraising initiatives.
Sponsor a Life-Saving Gift
To make our fundraising more personal, we are introducing a ‘Sponsor a Gift’ programme. This allows pupils, parents, and staff to see exactly how their contributions help the cats at Wisteria. You can choose to sponsor specific items or treatments that are vital for the rescue’s daily operations:
£2: A treat and a toy for a lonely cat.
£5: A soft, warm blanket for a new arrival.
£10: A week’s worth of nutritious food.
£15: A flea and worming treatment.
£25: A full health check and first vaccination.
How to Donate: To take part in the sponsorship programme, please send your donation in a sealed envelope marked ‘Wisteria Cat Rescue’ via your child’s teacher or directly to the school office. Please include a note specifying which gift you would like to sponsor. There are also details on how to donate directly to Wisteria on their Facebook page.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a tangible difference to the comfort and health of a cat in need.
School Council Donation Drive
In addition to our sponsorship programme, the School Council fundraising team is busy organising a collection drive. We are currently welcoming donations of the following items:
Cat food (tinned or dry)
Cat treats
Cat litter
If you are able to contribute, please drop these items off at the designated collection point in the school reception. These supplies are always in high demand and help the rescue redirect their funds towards critical veterinary care.

On Friday 8th May CORS held our annual careers fair, a massive thank you to all of our providers that came.
